Happy Shoes of the Day - Blush Sperry's

What do you do when you are walking through a process of healing? You keep walking! Moving forward each day in faith, one step at a time. Sometimes it is hard because walking through the process requires some patience too!

In a couple days I had two different people give me these two following scriptures...

“Wait patiently for the LORD. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the LORD.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭NLT

“rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer;”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:12‬ ‭NKJV

I love the first verse, we do have to be brave! And we can be brave when we rely on God's word and His goodness! We can trust in Him!!

The second verse is wonderful too! When our Hope is in God, we can definitely rejoice!! Everyone faces tribulation and hard times! It's up to us how we choose to make the journey sometimes through a really long process! That is why it's so important to have God's word to rely on, to learn from, to trust in...no matter what you are going through!

You don't want to become stagnant. When a body of water does not move it becomes stagnant. When that happens it becomes a breeding ground for bacteria, mosquitos and it stinks!

Just like that water if we stop moving forward in faith our minds and hearts can become stagnant and contaminated too. The "bacteria" of the mind can be fear, anxiety, worry, and unbelief!

The word of God, the Bible is our source to help us overcome anything!!

The opposite of fear is faith. God did not give us a spirit of fear!

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. (‭II Timothy‬ ‭1‬:‭7‬ NKJV)

Anxiety and worry can take a tole on your body quick! But our loving God gave us His word to tell us what to do.

“ cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.”
‭‭I Peter‬ ‭5:7-11‬ ‭NKJV

God wants us to cast our cares on Him! He can handle it! He has the plan, He is stronger than we are! When we cast our cares on Him, He can work for us! When we don't cast our cares on Him we are not letting Him help us, we are not resting in His peace, and we keep carrying heavy loads that we are not meant to bare!

The Bible also tells us that the thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but He came that we might have life, abundant life!!

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. (‭John‬ ‭10‬:‭10‬ NKJV)

We have authority over the thief (the devil) because of our relationship with Jesus Christ and his word! We can resist the devil and he has to flee...

Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. (‭James‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬ NKJV)

We have to take authority over the devil and tell him to get lost!!!

When Jesus died and rose again He took the keys to death, he'll, and the grave! The devil cannot take us out!

I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. (‭Revelation‬ ‭1‬:‭18‬ KJV)

Walking forward in faith and trusting in God to keep ordering my steps!

Following is a testimony on Facebook that someone shared to lift someone up....

Yes, we will stand in faith with you, Dorlene! Our God is faithful, hears His children's cries and ANSWERS. I have seen a great answer of healing just yesterday for my spiritual daughter who had 'incurable cancer' in last stages. Dr's sent her home to get her house-in-order. She told the dr 'That's your report but my God is still in charge of my life!' She got a call from that dr yesterday, 'Your last tests have shocked us all... You're in what-we-call REMISSION! Just a testimony of encouragement, my precious sister and forever friend!❤️

God is working and He watches over His word to perform! Praise The Lord!

I love you all and thank you for continuing to pray and believe!

God is good!!

Happy Shoes of the Day - Red and White Josef Seibel

I had treatment day last Tuesday but I have not been able to post since then. So better late than never!! I am actually getting blood today, because my blood had become very low and I was anemic. It made me think of how the blood of Jesus was shed for each of us to receive salvation! That is the greatest gift ever to us!!

We just celebrated Valentine's Day! No matter if you are married, single, divorced, or widowed, we have the love of God surrounding us each day!

I am so thankful for the ultimate love of our Savior!!

“Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.”
‭‭John‬ ‭15:13‬ ‭NASB‬‬

“"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭NASB

We are so loved by Jesus!! In our human minds it is hard for us to fathom His love!! He is for us, He wants the very best for us!! He delights in us and loves us even with all of faults! He wants nothing but the best for us!

A great friend sent me a text on Monday about a Bible study she was doing. The scripture reference was Matthew 14:22-33. This talks about the miracle of feeding the 5000 and then Jesus sending them away in front of Him. The disciples were on the boat and very afraid. It talks about Jesus "walking" not running to them on the boat. He had everything under control!

My friend sent me the reminder that God is aware, in control, and with us Through It All!! She posed the question, "So, are our "storms" times in which His majesty can be revealed in our lives!? I believe they are, and trusting Him through the process brings glory to Him and it brings peace to us!

God sent the disciples into what He knew we would still be talking about thousands of years later. My friend posed the question, "What has He sent us away to go through that He will be glorified through?" Wow, it is all for His glory to be revealed!! Her final sentence in the text was, "He walks to us completely AWARE of ur greatest need!"

He is always working for ur good. He knows right where we are and He has plan for our lives! Yesterday I had a revelation yesterday of God's goodness and how I cannot allow myself to be depressed or worried over my situation...

"I am not a victim! I am victorious! Cancer does not have dominion over me! I am healed! Speaking life over myself today!"

I sent that out in a text to a few people as a declaration over my life!! Our words are powerful! And His words are even more powerful!

A powerful scripture from 1 Peter...

“and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭2:24‬ ‭NASB

I am continuing on this journey in peace knowing that my God is with me and He will never leave me!

His love for us knows no bounds!! We can trust Him, lean on Him, believe Him, and when we are weak, He is strong!

I posted a great video from Andrew Womack with a testimony from John Tesh...I will try and post again to Sandi's Hope...take a minute to listen and let your faith rise!!

I love you all and thank you for your continued prayers and faith!!

Happy Shoes of the Day - STARS & STRIPES SPERRY'S (SHOE REPEAT)

In honor of the inauguration of our 45th President, and the freedom we live in, I chose to pull out the red, white, and blue's!

I looked up the definition for freedom...one of the definitions was, "the state of not bring imprisoned or enslaved". We can be imprisoned or enslaved by many things, but the one thing that really stood out to me was worry! God has given us freedom through our relationship with Him!

“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:36‬ ‭KJV

Worry is when we are afraid or concerned because we don't know what is going to happen. So what does it mean to trust God? Trusting God means that we remember He is in control and knows everything.

So, can we worry and fully trust God at the same time? The answer is no! We can try, but it is exhausting! We are human and it is hard to let go of our circumstances. We want to "fix it", figure it out, change it, and solve it! The Word of God gives us all the answers we need and when we apply it to our lives it brings peace.

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3:5-6‬ ‭NASB‬‬

God wants us to trust in Him whenever we are tempted to worry because He cares for us! HE cares for us! He knows we are human and He knew we would need His word to navigate our lives!

He is in control and knows about everything that has happened in the past, is happening now in the present, and all that will happen in the future.

“"Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; For the LORD GOD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation.""
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭12:2‬ ‭NASB‬‬

There are many scriptures speak to us about worry and anxiety, below are some of my favorites...
‬‬

““So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
‭‭MATTHEW‬ ‭6:34‬ ‭AMP

“casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].”
‭‭1 PETER‬ ‭5:7‬ ‭AMP‬‬

This means He will do the caring for you! He wants to do the caring for you! He delights in you casting your cares upon Him! He can handle it!

“Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] I'm requests known to God.”
‭‭PHILIPPIANS‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭AMP‬

I have shed some tears writing this post, the battle I face is big to me. There are lots of unknowns and odds that come along with the territory. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed, afraid, and weak, but God gives me His mercy and grace to uphold me!

I am preaching to myself, and I pray that this encourages everyone who reads it. No matter how big or small your battle is, He cares and He has a plan. We must keep walking in faith and trust Him! The battle is not ours, but God's...

“and he said, "Listen, all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem and King Jehoshaphat: thus says the LORD to you, 'Do not fear or be dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours but God's.”
‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭20:15‬ ‭NASB‬‬

I love you all and thank you for every prayer of faith!

Happy Shoes of the Day - GRAY BOOTS

Tuesday was treatment day this week, so I am a little late posting!

Right before leaving the house to head to treatment, I took the dog out to potty. I made the choice to wear shoes with no socks that morning. After about thirty seconds outside, I realized my choice was Not a good one! As soon as I got back inside, I promptly went and changed shoes! I opted for wool socks and boots. My feet were then protected, toasty warm, and happy the rest of the day!

We have many choices to make everyday. Our choices can bring us up or bring us down.

We have to choose joy!
We have to choose to be strong!
We have to choose to be kind!
We have to choose to speak positive words to others!
We have to choose to speak positive words over ourselves!
We have to choose to Not listen to negative thoughts!
We have to choose life not death!
We have to choose to fight!
We have to choose to believe the report of the Lord!

We all have weak moments...when we are weak, He is strong!

“So I am well pleased with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, and with difficulties, for the sake of Christ; for when I am weak [in human strength], then I am strong [truly able, truly powerful, truly drawing from God’s strength].”
‭‭2 CORINTHIANS‬ ‭12:10‬ ‭AMP‬‬

A friend posted this video and it spoke to my heart! I wanted to share it with you. We can choose to be brave no matter what we face because of His goodness and mercy!

TAP on the Link to watch video:

Goodness and Mercy follow us everywhere we go! I'm going forward in faith!

I'm brave in my heart because my story is already written!

Sometimes you just need your boots on to walk over the enemy of your soul!

I love you and so appreciate every prayer you pray for me! Thank you for joining your faith with mine!

Happy Shoes of the Day - WOOL PLAID SPERRY'S

These Sperry's look like wool and I thought about how all the colors are weaved together to make the pattern.

It made me think about how our lives are woven together to tell our story.

Wool has some great benefits...

• Resists wrinkles- wool springs back quickly

• Retains shape- resilient fibers return to size

• Resists soiling- because the fiber is complex

•Resists flames- fibers will not support combustion

• Is durable- multi-part fiber resists wear

• Is comfortable in all seasons- keeps layer of air next to skin

• Repels moisture- fiber sheds water

When I read all those benefits I thought, wow this sounds like benefits of being a believer in Christ!

As a believer in Christ we can resist wrinkles and spring back quickly from adversity! When we believe the word of God over our lives we can resist wrinkles! Wrinkles are those things that can keep us down in life, things that could keep you from your destiny, things that could make you give up. God's word has the answers to any adversity that comes our way!

As a believer in Christ we can retain our shape and the fibers of our lives can return to size. Sometimes we hear reports or see things that can make us swell with fear and it can slow us down! When we believe God's word and His promises that helps us retain our shape, to be stable, to resist fear!!

As a believer in Christ we can resists soiling because our fibers are complex. Complex means composed of many parts. Each of us have been fearfully and wonderfully made! None of us are exactly alike. We all have different things or "fibers" that make us unique. We have been woven together to be victorious!

When we believe God's word concerning us, we can resist the things that could cause damage, stain, tarnish, or dishonor us.

As a believer in Christ we can resist flames and not combust! The enemy sends all kinds of things to get us off track! 1st Peter 4:12 AMP says, "Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal which is taking place to test you (that is, to test the quality of your faith), as though something strange or unusual were happening to you." When we believe God's word and have it hidden in our heart we can quickly extinguish the flames that try to consume us and rob us of our joy, peace, and love!

As a believer in Christ we can be durable and our multi-part fiber resists wear! God's word provides strength and truth to make us strongman!

They go from strength to strength [increasing in victorious power]; Each of them appears before God in Zion. (‭PSALM‬ ‭84‬:‭7‬ AMP)

As a believer in Christ we can be comfortable in all seasons! We go thru seasons in our lives. Some seasons are fun and full of life...some seasons are hard and we might feel like giving up! But with the strength of God's word to empower us we can go thru any season and come out victorious!!

And he will be like a tree firmly planted [and fed] by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season; Its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers [and comes to maturity]. (‭PSALM‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬ AMP)

As a believer in Christ we can repel moisture and our fibers (our very being) can shed water. The waters of defeat, shame, condemnation, pain, fear, and unbelief. The word of God helps us to repel bad thoughts, take them captive! It helps us to shed water that is meant to slow us down and discourage us! But God's word tells about His water...

But whoever drinks the water that I give him will never be thirsty again. But the water that I give him will become in him a spring of water [satisfying his thirst for God] welling up [continually flowing, bubbling within him] to eternal life.” (‭JOHN‬ ‭4‬:‭14‬ AMP)

As I am on this journey, I am trusting in God's word and His promises to me!

I love you all and thank you for pray and believing with me! God is good!! He is with me and my story continues to be woven together

Happy Shoes of the Day - SILVER LEATHER SPERRY'S (SHOE REPEAT)

I am wearing a pair of Sperry's I have already worn in a post. So that is "repeat". The definition of repeat is, to say or utter again, to repeat a word for emphasis.

The Lord spoke to me about, #Repeat. About how important it is to repeat His word in and over our lives! His word is powerful and strong! His word is a two edged sword. Hebrews 4:12.

His word can overcome anything. His word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. Hebrews 119:105.

His word answers any situation we face! His word is life! His word is peace. His word makes us victorious! His word comforts us! His word empowers us! His word teaches us! His word promises us! His word never fails! His word pushes back the enemy!

The Lord watches over His word to perform it. Jeremiah 1:12 NASB, Then the Lord said to me, "You have seen well, for I am watching over My word to perform it."

My Word is Jeremiah 30:17 NASB. "For I will restore you to health And I will heal you of your wounds". The MSG translation says,"As for you, I'll come with healing, curing the incurable. Hallelujah for the promise!! I repeat these words over my life everyday! This is my Rhema word!!

I have peace that passes understanding! Fear tries to rear its ugly head, but God!!!!

2nd Timothy 1:17 NASB. "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, love, and of a sound mind".

I am praising the Lord for His goodness and kindness, and mercy over my life! I love you all and your faith standing with me!!

Happy Shoes of the Day - PINK SPERRY'S

Have you ever heard the expression,
"Tickled Pink"? That describes a great state of joy! It's when that feeling of, "nothing could make me happier", comes over you!

It's when you find the $150.00 outfit for $25.00...it's when you find $90.00 shoes for $12.65...it's when your kids grow up and you realize they really Got what you poured into them!

It's when you surprise your spouse with a gift that just knocks their socks off...it's when you get a raise and it's not even evaluation time!

Our Heavenly Father loves us so much! And there is a verse that tells us what makes Him "Tickled Pink"!

I have no greater joy than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth. (‭3 John‬ ‭1‬:‭4‬ NASB)

He absolutely loves when we walk in His truths! He gave us His word, the Bible, to help us! His word is powerful and it has the answers to every life situation we face! His word helps us overcome the enemy and to be victorious!!

I love this verse in Jeremiah...

Your words were found and I ate them, And Your words became for me a joy and the delight of my heart; For I have been called by Your name, O LORD God of hosts. (‭Jeremiah‬ ‭15‬:‭16‬ NASB)

We have been called! We have been equipped! We have been given more than enough to overcome anything! In the darkest situations, we have His word to bring us joy and delight to our souls!

And just another cool thing that God did today...

My awesome nurse gave me a pink camouflage bandaid today. Camouflage is defined as, "The act, means, or result of obscuring things to deceive an enemy".

God protects us from the enemy! And guess what...there is a scripture to tell us!!

But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one. (‭2 Thessalonians‬ ‭3‬:‭3‬ NASB)

And finally...

In this journey that I am on God's word is what I am standing on! God is faithful!

Psalm 63:7 (NASB) For You have been my help, And in the shadow of Your wings I sing for joy.

Thank you for your prayers, your faith, and love!!

Happy Shoes of the Day - SILVER LEATHER SPERRY'S

My silver Sperry's made me think about the phrase we've all heard..."Every cloud has a silver lining." If you look up silver lining in the dictionary it says, even the worst events or situations have some positive aspect.

So, what is the "Silver Lining" in a crazy diagnosis? There are many ways to look at that. We could spend all kinds of time trying to figure what the silver lining is in a situation. And in some situations, it could be really hard to find a silver lining! I'm just being honest...we are human!

I'm thankful in this situation that I don't have to figure out anything...I can be at peace! The kind of peace that you can't explain, but that you just dwell in. Today that is my silver lining...peace in the midst of a storm!

In Hebrews 13:5 (NASB) the Bible says, "I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you."

Even in the crazy times in life when we may feel like He surely took a vacation day...or maybe a whole week of vacation...we are assured in His word that He has not left us!

Psalm 94:19 (NASB) says, "When my anxious thoughts multiply within me, Your consolations delight my soul."

He is there to console us, but we have to let Him. We have to relinquish control to Him. When we do that, we can rest in Him and let Him do the work!

I had scans today and everything is still stable and so we proceed and trust and be at peace!

I did have a couple silver linings today while at treatment...homemade banana chocolate chip bread and zucchini bread brought in by sweet lady just to be a blessing. She comes every Wednesday and I had treatment today because of the holiday, so I got to partake! And a sweet nurse who gave me a silver band aid to match my shoes! I'm posting a picture of the band aid! Sometimes it's the little things!

Thank you again for praying for me, believing with me, and surrounding me with faith! God is good and He loves us with an everlasting love!! Don't worry, be happy and wear fun shoes that make you happy!!! XOXO

Happy Shoes of the Day - BLACK SPERRY'S

As I was thinking of my inspiration for today's post and these mostly black shoes, my eyes were drawn to white dots and the whites soles! Amongst all the black canvas those white dots are like rays of hope, they are glory dots, they are punches of light in the darkness! Jesus is our light!

John 1:5 (NLT) says, "The light shines in the darkness and the darkness can never extinguish it."

No matter how dark our situation, no matter what prognosis you have been given, no matter how hopeless the situation may seem, the darkness cannot extinguish the light!

No matter what darkness is trying to surround you...it may be sickness, financial distress, a job you hate, a wayward son or daughter, troubles in your marriage, addiction, depression, anxiety...if you can just catch a glimpse of the Light!!

Those white soles remind me of walking on clouds...the big puffy pretty ones with a background of blue skies! The ones that make you smile when you look at the sky on a beautiful sunny day!

It has been almost one year since I had this crazy diagnosis. August 28, 2015 was the day I visited my oncologist in Chattanooga and he shared the news. That was a crazy and scary day! We walked out of the exam room to the check out area, but I knew we had to go back in that room and pray! I told Dr. Sutton that we had to pray for wisdom and direction for us, for the doctors, for everyone involved. Keith prayed a beautiful prayer as we all held hands. When we finished praying, Dr. Sutton remarked that he had never had that happen before but he liked it! He went on to tell me he and his church would be praying for me. Every time I see him he still reminds me that he has my prayer card hanging in his office and he reads it several times a day. He took us to his office last week and showed us where he has it hanging on the wall! I'm including a picture in this post. It is the blue card you see hanging on the wall. Thank God for doctors who believe in the power of prayer!!

God answered those prayers that day, He has given us and the doctors wisdom and knowledge for my situation! He gave us peace about which option to take and we have great peace that we are right where He wants us! We continue to stand on His Word!

Psalm 119:50 (NASB) "This is my comfort in my affliction, That Your Word has revived me."

Deuteronomy 30:14 (NASB) "But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may observe it. Choose Life."

John 15:3 (NASB) "You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you."

Psalms 18:30 (NASB) "As for God, His way is blameless; The Word of the Lord is tried; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him."

I had to go see Dr. Sutton about a week ago. When he came in he said, "are you breathing pretty good?" And I said yes! He went on to say, "I'll be honest, I did not think I would see you walking backing into my office a year later, but that's a good thing! The treatment is working." And he said, "of course the prayers!"

I am giving God all the praise because He has kept me and I AM still here! God's Word is alive and it is alive in me!!!

Daniel 2:22 says, "It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, And the light dwells with Him."

God knows all about our dark times. He is right there with us! He uses those times to let us experience peace that passes all understanding! He uses those times to make us realize how strong we are in Him! He uses those times to reveal Himself to us in a very personal way.

So today, wherever you are at...look for the light. It may be just a glimmer of light...but keep your eyes on the light...it's there!!! Keep punching through the darkness and continue to read Gods word and hide it in your heart!

Joshua 23:14 (NASB) "Now behold, today I am going the way of all the earth, and you know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one word of all the good words which the Lord your God spoke concerning you has failed; all have been fulfilled for you, no not one of them has failed."

Thank you for praying and believing with me! I love you all and I am so thankful for the faith surrounding me!!

Happy Shoes of the Day - STARS & STRIPES (RED, WHITE, & BLUE)

I was blessed with a new pair of Sperry's a few days ago. The Stars and Stripes of course made me think of the freedom we live in the USA! But it also made me think of the freedom we have in Jesus Christ!!

We are free from doubt, from worry, from stress, from fear. We are free from condemnation!

John 8:31-32 "If you abide in my Word, you are my disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth will set you free!

Psalm 119:105 "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

When we read God's word and we hide His word in our hearts we have power! Power to overcome every obstacle and take captive every thought that is meant to keep us in bondage and from walking in Freedom. The word of God is alive today! It is for us, it is not just some book that looks good on a coffee table, it is a source of power and strength to us!

In Hebrews 4:12 it says, "the Word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword".

Trusting in the Word of God frees you from having to figure it out!

Proverbs 3:5 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding!"

This is a journey of faith and trust for me. We are all on different journey's but have the same promises and the Word of God to back them up!

I am so thankful that we can trust in the Lord and have faith that He has us in His hands! He will never leave us, and He gives us His grace and mercy new every day to help us!

So we press on, resting His peace!

I love you all, and thank you for praying and believing with me!

Happy Shoes of the Day - GOLD SPERRY'S

When I was thinking of what shoes were for today, my gold Sperry's came to mind and the scripture that talked about being tried by fire and coming out like gold. That was not just a coincidence! God is so cool and He has a plan...for everything! Even when the enemy comes against you God will turn it around!

Whatever journey you are on, one of the most important things is your attitude. Keeping a positive attitude helps you make it through tough days! It's not always easy, but with the right attitude you can plow through the darkest of days! One definition of attitude is the way you think about someone or something.

This is where faith can make all the difference. One of the definitions of faith is a strong belief or trust in someone or something. My someone is Jesus Christ!

When we are faced with trials and we trust in Jesus, that is when your faith can feed your attitude! You build your faith by reading the Word of God!

When you completely trust in Jesus you can rest and be at peace in any situation. We are human and sometimes we try to figure things out. In those times we can be overwhelmed with frustration, fear, even anger. This is why in Matthew 11:28, He tells us to come to Him! On this journey I don't have to figure it out, I just have to believe why the Word says!

"Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28 NASB)

In 1st Peter 1:6-7, it talks about our faith being more precious than gold! My faith is carrying me through this crazy journey I am on! Even when my faith is tested by fire, I know that because of His Word, I have already overcome!

I have included two different translations of these verses because both were so good! I love the Message translation and its upbeat vibe!

In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, (1 Peter 1:6 NASB.
so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ; (1 Peter 1:7 NASB)

I know how great this makes you feel, even though you have to put up with every kind of aggravation in the meantime. Pure gold put in the fire comes out of it proved pure; genuine faith put through this suffering comes out proved genuine. When Jesus wraps this all up, it’s your faith, not your gold, that God will have on display as evidence of his victory. (1 Peter 1:6-7 MSG)

I have always said I don't know where I would be without Jesus, and I don't want to find out!

I love you all and thank you for your prayers and faith!

Blue Striped Sperry's with Leather!

When mom saw these shoes she said it made her think of the Bible verse, " ...by His stripes we are healed!" I was thinking about that, and looking closer at the leather on the heel and the shoe strings reminded me how He got the stripes! He took a massive beating just for you and me!

Matthew 5:8 says "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God."

I heard a message a couple weeks ago at our church and this was the speakers main scripture. The Children's Pastor was the speaker that week. He said, "I'm going to preach simple today!"

He talked about when we can see Jesus, we keep our focus on Him and not on our problems or struggles. He talked about we should see Jesus in our everyday lives, but sometimes we get distracted.

He used a simple illustration as well. He talked about how sometimes we allow stuff to cloud our hearts, and when that happens we can't see clearly. He had clear plastic cups with clear liquid in them and then added different food colorings to change it. One color represented fear, one anger, one envy, and one sadness.

We are all human and we will have days that one or all these things will try and overtake us! Looking at Facebook and watching the news can bring All of these to the forefront!!

In this whole process I am in, I have had to definitely learn to keep my eyes focused on Jesus! I have had to learn to keep my mind fixed on the Word of the Lord and His promises! Do I have bad days, yes I sure do! Somedays, the what if's try to take over. Fear thrives in the what if's!

So everyday is a new day. Every day is an opportunity to see Jesus. He will speak to us in all kinds of different ways. Sometimes it may be through a person, sometimes thru a song, sometimes it may be laughter or a smile. Sometimes it may be a scripture, or that still small voice. Sometimes it may be through a pair of shoes! The stripes and leather on my shoes today are speaking loudly! Those are reminders to me of Gods word that I am healed!

We are all on a journey. Our journey's are all different but we All need Jesus to be by our side! I am so thankful that I have Him on this journey that started last August! He is giving me peace and I know I can trust Him.

I love you guys and I am thankful for every prayer sent up for me! 😘

Treatment Day in Nashville!

Happy Shoes of the Day!

This morning when we were walking to the breakfast area at the hotel we passed several athletic bags that obviously belonged to hockey players. The bags were huge and each had five or six hockey sticks attached. Of course we were hoping to see Carrie Underwood's hubby, who plays for the Pred's! Lol

Well we did not see him, but there were several young men getting their breakfast dressed in shorts and t-shirts. My first thought was, wow these guys are so skinny for hockey players! They did not have all the padding and uniform on to make them look big! The padding they wear under those uniforms really makes a difference in how big they look!! That's why they are so confident slamming into each other and the walls!!

Keith, the guy with the inquiring mind, decided to ask one of them what was up. These were collegiate players that were in town for a Nashville Predator's Camp. It's a weeklong camp and the guy said the schedule was long and grueling every day !

So that explains the youthful look of most of them and they All had their own teeth!!

So a bunch of aspiring hockey players were my inspiration today! It brought to mind the scripture about putting on the full armor of the Lord!

Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. (Ephesians 6:11 NASB)

When we put on the full armor of the Lord we can be confident too! We can be confident that no matter what we face, we have His word to back us up!! We have His promises to stand on! God's word is tried and true..

Every word of God is tested; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him. (Proverbs 30:5 NASB)

I am claiming God's word over my life every day! And He is watching over His word...

Then the LORD said to me, "You have seen well, for I am watching over My word to perform it." (Jeremiah 1:12 NASB)

I love you all and thank you for praying and believing with me!!!

Happy Shoes of the Day - Tropical Print Sperry's

Happy Shoes of The Day...

Tropical Print Sperry's

Perfect for a hot summer day! Happy Shoes make everything better!

I had to have an Echocardiogram first thing this morning. As I was waiting for the technician to come back , I'm looking around this sterile room...this machine, the hospital setting, and thinking about where I was.

I would much rather be somewhere else...a tropical setting would be great. Ocean breezes, waves crashing, sand between my toes, get the picture?!

It's easy to get uneasy, if you let your thoughts run away with you! I was reminded of 2 Corinthians 10:5.

"We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,"

I have had way more good days than bad days in this process! But some days I have had to work a little harder to take the thoughts captive! I constantly remind myself of God's promises to me through His word. I know He is in control and my hope is in Him!

I saw a quote on FaceBook today from Mr. Roger's. I loved watching Mr. Roger's neighborhood! I even wrote a speech in a college class about him and his sweater and tennis shoes! It goes like this, "When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, "Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping." That made me think of Psalm 121:1-2

"I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; From where shall my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made Heaven and Earth."

We were thrown into a crazy process last August, but I know where my help comes from! I am leaning on the Lord every day and He is providing peace and strength! He made Heaven and Earth! He can take care of me!!

Man, I bet Mr. Roger's would have loved Tropical Print Sperry's!

Thank you for praying for me!! Love and hugs to you all!

Treatment Day, White Shoes

When I chose my shoes (white) I was reminded about the Holy Spirit coming in the form of a dove...

John 1:32-34 John testified saying, "I have seen the Spirit descending as a dove out of heaven, and He remained upon Him. "I did not recognize Him, but He who sent me to baptize in water said to me, 'He upon whom you see the Spirit descending and remaining upon Him, this is the One who baptizes in the Holy Spirit.' "I myself have seen, and have testified that this is the Son of God."

I was inspired this week by Candace Payne, the Chewbacca Mom, when I watched a video about her encounter with the Holy Spirit. I really did not think the Holy Spirit was for me either way back when. But you what...the Holy Spirit is a gift, and it was for me. I received the gift of tongues at home praying with my mom.

I have another friend that was not sure it was for her either. She read Benny Hinn's book "Good Morning Holy Spirit". After reading the book she said she was sitting on her bed and simply said, God if you want me to have the Holy Spirit then give it to me. She said she began to speak in other tongues and knew that it was for her. It is a gift, we just have to receive it!

Romans 8:26 says, " Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered."

In other words, when we don't know what to pray the Holy Spirit prays for us! I am thankful for the gift of the Holy Spirit! This journey I am on is one that I would not have chosen for myself! At the same time I have such great peace and know that I am not alone! Even in the quiet of the night when crazy thoughts are thrown at me or in the middle of the day, the Holy Spirit is empowering me to persevere and trust in God! I can't give this gift to you but you can pray and ask God to reveal what He has for you!

I love you all and I am so thankful for your continued prayers and faith!

Happy Shoes of the Day - PINK CONVERSE (CHUCKY TAYLORS)

Treatment day in Nashville! So many people fighting...young and old! Two things I've noticed...people are so supportive of one another and no matter how bad they feel, most people can still manage to smile and share what I call..."kind eyes". There is something about how we look at one another...you can look at people and judge or you can look at people with "kind eyes". "Kind eyes" say I don't know your story, but I'm standing strong with you..."kind eyes" say I love you even though I don't know you! "Kind eyes" can be the difference in someone's life today...I want to make a difference!! Thank you all for praying and believing with me for my miracle! I have great peace and I know He has got me!!

HAPPY Shoes of the Day - GOLD SPERRY'S

Treatment day In Nashville today. Missing the hubby as he is in Mississippi today but glad to have my mom here with me! Happy Shoe of The Day...my gold Sperry's. The nurse who accessed my port today had a mustard seed necklace on...a great reminder of the faith we have all been given! Matthew 17:20 ...if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, "Move from here to there", and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you. God is so good, if we will notice little things, and sometimes big things, He is constantly reminding us of His love! I am loved and so are you!! Thankful for His peace and joy as I press on in this crazy journey! Love you all and keep believing and thank Him for my healing! According to His word...it's already done!

Red Sperry's

Treatment Day and Scan Day! My scans are stable...meaning there has been no change and this is good!!! So, we carry on and keep believing and leaning on Jesus!! I don't have to figure anything out...I just have to believe and keep speaking God's word over my life. And His word says, Jeremiah 30:17 (NASB)..."For I will restore you to health and I will heal you of your wounds!" His word has all the answers we need!! He is faithful and true! His peace is covering me and it is the peace that passes all understanding!

I had an ekg today and my "Mustard Seed Faith Friend" was my nurse. She said if she does not wear it she feels "off". I understood what she meant, it (her mustard seed faith necklace) is a reminder of her faith and how powerful it is! Sometimes our faith may be on the quiet side and sometimes it may shout out, just keep sharing it! Listen to that still, small, voice and you will know when and how!

My Happy shoes for the day...

A reminder of the blood of Jesus that covers me, the blood He shed for me! The blood that will Never lose its power! The blood that makes the enemy tremble! The blood that sets us free! The blood that makes us royal and children of the King! I love you guys, thank you for praying, believing, and Thanking God for my miracle!
